Case Closed: Meet the Lapcon® Commercial & Residential Door Closer

The Lapcon® Door Damper (LDD) is an industrial, commercial, institutional, and residential door closer which ensures that swinging doors will close gently and securely on their own. This is a great productivity feature for bustling workplaces as well as a luxury feature in hotels and conference centers.

Designed for use with interior swinging doors, the LDD takes hold of the door at 15° from the closed position and softly closes the door from there, even if the user pushes the door hard (within reason).

Generous Door Compatibility Specifications

• The LDD commercial and residential door closer has a slim vertical profile of only ¾”, fitting into most door frames.
• Safely supports doors up to 36” (914 mm) in width.
• Designed doors weighing 33 to 88 lbs (15 – 40 kg).
• The design is handed, so make sure to buy left-handed or right-handed models as needed.
• For use only on interior doors, as exposure to water, high humidity, wind, and extreme temperatures will degrade the mechanism.

About This Model (LDD-S-R/DBR)

This commercial and residential door closer model is LDD-S-R/DBR, which is the surface mount type, with right-hand opening (opens toward you to your right), and a dark brown color. We have produced eight surface mount LDD models in all, consisting of four color options in their left- and right-handed forms:
