Damped & Self-Closing: Meet the Lapcon® Surface Mount Door Closer

The Lapcon® Door Damper (LDD) is a surface mount door closer that ensures that swinging doors will self-close effortlessly, smoothly, and securely when pushed—improving productivity and safety for the user.

Intended for use only on interior doors, the LDD self-closing action takes hold of the door at 15° from the closed position and softly closes the door from there, whether the initial push by the user was light or heavy (within reason).

LDD Surface Mount Door Closer Features

Functionality-Centric, Superior Performance

Installation is easy, and the LDD can be installed on new or existing interior doors.
Smart design, precision engineering, and sturdy steel construction ensure durability.
You can adjust the damper for door weight after installing it, fine-tuning operation.
The damper function can be easily disabled if you prefer faster operation.
Lapcon® dampers are cycle tested under fairly harsh usage conditions.

Lapcon® Compatibility with Doors & Frames

The LDD surface mount door closer has a slim vertical profile of only ¾”, allowing it to fit into most door frames.
It is compatible with doors up to 36” (914 mm) in width.
It is compatible with doors ranging from 33 to 88 lbs. (15 – 40 kg) in weight.
Be sure to order the left- or right-handed versions as needed.
The LDD is designed for use on interior doors only, so avoid use in conditions where the unit will experience wind, moisture, or extreme temperatures.
