Some Examples of the Fastmount® Panel Mounting Systems in Action

ASB Bank, Auckland

The Fastmount® Low Profile System was designed for applications requiring less depth in the panel and substrate in comparison to the Standard Range.

In a commercial refurbishment in the south of Auckland, New Zealand, ASB Bank has used the Fastmount panel mounting system to assist the refit of the ASB customer branch in Takanini.

A fresh design required fresh solutions, with two sections of paneling needing removable and hidden fastenings. The first section was the key visual space, the ATM zone, made up of Melteca covered MDF panels designed and installed by Retail Dimension. The second area was a ribbon-design feature panel on the back wall, made of 12mm MDF which was attached to dry wall, also designed by Jasmax Design and installed by Brand Partners.

In the ATM zone a combination of the PC-F1A with the PC-M1A and PC-M2H was used, according to the thickness of the panel. The PC-M1A was used with the 12mm panel, while the heavier 18mm panel was installed with the PC-M2H creating a totally secure fixing, while maintaining removability if panels needed repairing.

Used on the MDF feature paneling was the LP-DF8 and LP-M8. The LP-DF8 has been specifically designed for use with drywall/GIB, with its slightly deeper screw mechanism allowing the clip to mechanically engage with the material

Removable panels matched perfectly can be changed as often as required. The combination of the two clips created a superb flush finish, with minimal space between the drywall and panel. The use of Fastmount meant that the panel could be easily changed and replaced in a refit situation.

Elwood House, Melbourne, Australia

Bringing a geometric, floor to ceiling design with timber veneer panels to life had the potential to be a nightmare in the making, but not for Sawdust Timber Furniture, who used Fastmount to sidestep the drawbacks of sequential paneling, and create a perfectly aligned yet secure finish on the wall and ceiling panels.

The final touch on a residential renovation in Melbourne, the Elwood House feature wall design runs up the entire length of the wall of the lounge area, and extends overhead onto the ceiling.

The choice of Fastmount would prove to tick a number of boxes for the fitout: non-sequential installation, simple removability and precise finish.

The Sawdust team recessed the PC-SF1 into the plastered timber frame with screws, and installed the heavy-duty PC-M2H male clip into the Blackbutt veneer panel, to create a secure hold. With a 10kg pull out load, the PC-M2H was the perfect solution for ceiling panels requiring both security and removability. With precision being the most important factor in an installation like this, the use of Fastmount allowed for a consistent and precise negative detail around all edges of the panels to achieve the stunning final result.
