Its split construction allows the opening to separate around an installed cable, enabling the use of larger plugs and pre-terminated connectors without removing or altering the connector.
Manufactured from zinc alloy, the CHC-S118DN features a nickel finish, providing a durable metal alternative to conventional plastic grommets. The component measures 11/16” (18 mm) high with a total diameter of 11/16” (18 mm). Installation requires a 9/16” (14mm) cutout that yields a ½” (12mm) opening to pass your wires through.

Yes. The grommet separates around the cable, so a larger molded plug or connector does not have to pass through the 14 mm bore. The cable itself must still fit within the opening.

The published specifications describe it as a split cable grommet, not a strain-relief fitting. Cables exposed to pulling, vibration, or repeated movement may require separate clamps or supports.
