What the EB Lever Release System Does
The EB Lever Release System allows you to engage all levers at the same time with the use of just one hand.
What Problem Does It Solve?
Our EB Series of brackets can support a hinged shelf up to 6-½ feet wide. While small shelves can be mounted on a single bracket, wider shelves require two or even three brackets.
However, each EB Series bracket has its own release lever, and to retract a shelf all of these levers must be engaged at the same time.
On wide shelves, this can be challenging or impossible for one person to handle. The high difficulty goes against our ethic of using Universal Design solutions that make our hardware accessible to all people with minimal effort.
This is the problem that the EB Lever Release System solves. With it, your fold-away shelf system is much more user-friendly and safe.
How Does It Work?
The EB Lever Release System has a simple design: It consists of two or three handles (depending on the model), joined by a connecting rod. Pulling a single handle causes all of the handles to move simultaneously. Each handle lifts and presses the lever on its corresponding EB folding bracket, retracting the hinged shelf.
The lever release does not interact with the weight of the shelf or the load on it (This is safely supported by the EB brackets themselves).
The handle requires minimal strength and dexterity to pull.
Features & Models
The EB Lever Release System is available in a 2-lever or 3-lever configuration, with three sizes available to support different fold-away shelf system dimensions. It is compatible with all three sizes of our EB Series folding brackets—including models with or without dampers.

All Lever Releases Compatible with These EB Series Brackets
Note: The EB Lever Release System is designed for use only with EB Series brackets. For safety and performance, do not use it with any other folding bracket.
Optional Safety Lock
The EB Lever Release System includes a safety lock feature that will protect your hinged shelf from folding accidentally. The safety mechanism requires you to slide the handle slightly to the left before lifting it. This increases the safety of your fold-away shelf system by ensuring that the bracket levers are not engaged by any accidental touch of the lever release handles.
The safety lock works thanks to the use of a safety pin and a spring on the opposite end. You pull the handle to the left against the spring tension to clear the safety pin, and from there you can lift the handle and retract the hinged shelf.
The safety lock feature can be omitted during installation or removed later by removing the pin and the spring.
Connecting Rod Can Be Cut to Length
The connecting rod of the EB Lever Release System has some extra length and can be cut as needed to fit the exact bracket widths in your existing fold-away shelf system.
Aluminum Construction Suited for Use Outdoors
One last great thing about the EB Lever Release System is that it is made of aluminum, so it can be used on a hinged shelf outdoors along with our EB Series stainless steel brackets.
