What are Sugatsune’s Million Lock Series cabinet locks and how are they different from standard market offerings?
The Million Lock Series locks are designed to work with a highly unique and secure type of key called a dimple key. This type of key can be keyed alike or keyed differently and is designed to work with locks that feature a complex pin configuration enhancing resistance against picking and unauthorized duplication. Traditional key locks have a row of spring pins that align exactly at the shear point when the right key is inserted, allowing the cylinder to turn. In the Million Lock Series, rather than a row of pins, there is an arrangement of multiple spring-loaded pins varying in length and sizes that when the right key is inserted, will align with the dimples on the key and allow the cylinder to turn. This system allows for over 1 million unique key combinations and there is also an available master key system that accommodates up to 2,520 sub-keys for efficient management in larger operations.
What is the most unique Sugatsune lock that enhances security in commercial applications?
Sugatsune has several items that are perfect for commercial applications but one that is great for security, function and aesthetics is the 7110 lock. This lock is designed to work with a unique round-stem dimple key that fits into a round hole in the cylinder lock making it virtually impossible to pick. The key can also be inserted at any angle making it easy for people to operate the lock even if it is in a challenging position like low to the ground or above their head. The 7110 lock is non-handed and can be installed on cabinet drawers, swinging doors, display cases or safe cabinets. The lock can be specified to be keyed alike or keyed different with master keying options available by special order. This lock also allows for up to 500,000 key changes.

Can Sugatsune locks be keyed alike and do they offer master keying?
For all lock orders, you may specify at the time you order, whether you wanted it keyed alike or keyed differently in addition to having it keyed differently with master keying.
Key Alike: All locks will have the same key number and can be unlocked with the same key. This is a good option for low-security environments or when multiple displays need to be accessed by a single person.
Keyed Differently: Each lock will have a different key number and cannot be unlocked with the same key. This is a good option for environments where different people are restricted access to things like lockers.
Keyed Differently with Master Keying: Each lock will have a different key number however, a master key will be created which can access all of the locks.
