If the torque of my application exceeds the torque rating of the LAD-ST or LADH, can I use more to support more weight?
Yes, if you used 2, the maximum torque would be double that of a single LAD-ST or LADH. We must caution that if additional LAD-STs are used, alignment of the body and the mounting points on the rising countertop is critical. Misalignment can cause undue stress on one of the arms leading to premature wear or damage. For the LADH, we recommend that you use no more than 2 in a single application.
What are the minimum installation clearances required for the LADH beneath the countertop?
The LADH requires a minimum cabinet depth of 13-3/4" (350 mm) to allow full rotation and folding. The vertical clearance from the mounting surface to any obstruction below must be at least 13" (330mm) to accommodate the folding arm mechanism.
I am building a Bar top that lifts but it must be ADA-compliant, is this possible to achieve using the LADH?
This depends on the dimensions, thickness and materials you are planning to use. The LADH features lift-assist to make it easier to lift, but the overall force required to lift the bar top will depend on the size and type of materials used.
