FAST FACTS: LADH SERIES FLIP UP COUNTERTOP SYSTEM WITH LIFT-ASSIST & DAMPER

Hi, welcome back to the Sugatsune Workshop! Today, we’re going to be looking at our LADH flip up countertop system. This is our Heavy-Duty Lift-Assist mechanism for countertop applications.

Different Load Strengths Available

There are two different strengths to our LADH counter lift: the LADH-35 and the LADH-50:

LADH-35

  • 24” = 25.8 lbs.
  • 30” = 20.7 lbs.
  • 36” = 17.2 lbs.
 LADH-50

  • 24” = 36.9 lbs.
  • 30” = 29.5 lbs.
  • 36” = 24.6 lbs.

Just like our other soft-close and lift-assist mechanisms, the LADH lift-up countertop system is rated with a set torque rating and not a set load rating, so if you need help calculating your torque, contact us and provide us with your countertop’s weight and dimensions. We’ll help you calculate your torque so you’ll know which LADH flip up countertop system is the appropriate strength for your application.

Requirements

There are two requirements that are needed to use our LADH:

First, it does require a hinge. In the associated video, you will see us using the continuous hinge, and our LSN-C stainless steel piano hinge is included with each purchase. NOTE: the LADH will not work with a concealed hinge of any kind.

Second, to use this flip up countertop system, we do require a secondary support that the countertop can rest on when in the “closed” position.

Special Features

The LADH does have a few special features:

  1. First and foremost, it is a lift-assist mechanism, also known as a “flip up countertop system” or “counter lift.” This will allow you, for instance, to lift a 25-pound countertop just with a finger.
  2. The LADH has a stop that safely holds your countertop up at 95 degrees.
  3. The LADH has a slim design which allows you to have full access when you’re passing through.
  4. Lastly, this lift-up countertop system features a soft-close dampening mechanism which prevents the counter from slamming when it closes.
