This stainless steel compression draw latch (SCC-30/SS), also known as a tight hold draw latch, uses a pair of compression springs in its design to achieve a tighter, more secure hold than a conventional draw latch.

A compression latch does a better job of standing up to vibrations and other sources of strain, making it well-suited for portable and marine applications, as well as in residential and commercial developments where a particularly tight hold is desired.
