Why You Need the S-ATJS Lid Stay

From our S-ATJ Series of spring-loaded lid stays, the S-ATJ01S offers convenience and control over top-opening lids, with the following high-performance features:

• The spring-loaded lift-assist mechanism makes opening top-mounted lids a breeze. The lift support will also hold the door open at any position you want, between 10° and 80°.
• The spring tension in the S-ATJ01S is adjustable so that you can correct for the lid’s balance and shape.
• The balance adjustment mechanism on this adjustable lid stay is an alternative to traditional torque-adjustable lid stays, offering better responsiveness, especially for unusual lid shapes.
• The balance adjustment is very user-friendly: All you need is a Phillips screwdriver, and the balance adjustment screw is easy to reach and easy to turn.

Note: The S-ATJ Series is not compatible with concealed hinges.

High-End Hardware for High-Use Applications

The S-ATJ01S adjustable lid stay has the following specifications:

• Heavy-Duty: The S-ATJ01S supports torque loads of 78 lbs-in (90 kgf-cm). For a heavier-duty option choose the S-ATJ02S instead, which can handle up to 104 lbs-in (120 kgf-cm).
• Back-Mounted: The S-ATJ01S mounts to the back panel of the lid’s underlying container. For stays that mount to the container side panels instead, try the S-ATJ line, available as either the S-ATJ01 or the heavier-duty S-ATJ02.
• Non-Dampable: The S-ATJS line is not compatible with our optional add-on damper, the S-ATD-30, which provides soft-close functionality, making the lid as easy to close as it is to open. For a dampable back-mounted version, try the S-ATJD line, available either as the S-ATJD01 or the S-ATJ02D.
• 430 Stainless Steel: The S-ATJD01 is constructed with high-quality grade 430 stainless steel, giving it both durability and elegance for the end user. This is a great long-term value proposition!
• Can Be Used in Multiples: The S-ATJD01 can be used individually or in multiples as needed.
